Proceeds Benefit:
Proceeds from the annual gala benefit the Chicago Architecture Foundation and its youth education programs. Each year, these programs reach over 35,000 students. Student field trips, teacher support, the critically acclaimed textbooks “Schoolyards to Skylines” and “The Architecture Handbook” and the Newhouse Program & Architecture Competition, all bring the wonders of architecture and design to students. Students practice working together, analyze problems and create solutions, and learn to express themselves creatively. Ultimately, students gain a sense of ownership and appreciation for their environment. The Chicago Architecture Foundation recognizes that programming designed for young people can help foster their natural interest in design, building, and construction, preparing them for their eventual role in shaping their city’s future.
